Never one to miss a cause for celebration, Porsche Design is marking the 50th anniversary of the iconic Turbo 911 with the launch of not one but two limited edition watches, as well as the 911 Turbo 50 Years vehicle – a tribute to the incomparable original.
First introduced in 1974 at Paris Motor Show, the Turbo 911 quickly cemented itself as one of the most iconic vehicles of its era. Now, 50 years later, the 911 Turbo 50 Years celebrates this original with the same level of design and performance prowess. The first of the two accompanying timepieces – the Chronograph 911 Turbo 50 Years – is only available to owners of the special-edition car, and has been carefully designed to showcase the same high-performance details.

Handcrafted in Porche’s own workshop in Switzerland, the watch features a remarkably lightweight titanium case, as well as a Porsche Design WERK 01.200 caliber, a Porsche vehicle leather strap and a winding rotor inspired by the wheel of the 911 Turbo 50 Years. The edition is limited to just 1,974 pieces, each of which is individually numbered to match its corresponding car, and is priced at $12,553.
While the second Porsche Turbo 911 watch is available to all, it will be limited to just 500 pieces. Based on the original Chronograph I – which was released in 1972 and made history as the first all-black timepiece – the Chronograph 1 – 50 Years 911 Turbo Edition is sporty, precise and infinitely stylish.

Crafted from black-coated, ultra-lightweight titanium, the $12,000 watch has a sevenfold anti-reflective sapphire crystal open case back, and is powered by a Porsche Design caliber WERK 01.240. Cementing its connection to the original Turbo 911, the watch’s dial is emblazoned with the historic 1970s Porsche logo.
As standard, the Chronograph 1 – 50 Years 911 Turbo Edition comes with a beige leather strap with black velcro fastening (which pays homage to the metallic beige paintwork of the very first Turbo 911), but an additional titanium bracelet is also included.
