The Turks & Caicos Tourist Board today announced its First Annual Turks & Caicos Gourmet Safari, which will celebrate the traditional and gourmet cuisine of the region’s top luxury resorts and restaurants.
“The 2007 Gourmet Safari showcases the culinary expertise of our region,” said Honorable Wayne Garland, executive chairman of the Turks & Caicos Tourist Board. “This event is setting the standard for culinary excellence in our country. While the Turks and Caicos is known for its world renowned pristine beaches, augmented by turquoise waters and luxurious five star accommodations, we want to introduce the world to our exquisite cuisine.”
“The Gourmet Safari is something we have been working towards for many years,” says
Nikheel Advani, managing director of the Grace Bay Club and co-chair of the Gourmet Safari. “This occasion will celebrate the exceptional fine dining as well as serve to spotlight Grace Bay Club’s new Infiniti Bar, which offers guests a unique dining experience just 20 feet from the shore of Grace Bay Beach.”
The event, scheduled to take place from Dec. 12 – 13, 2007, will feature signature dishes from distinguished resorts and restaurants throughout Turks & Caicos, prepared by their Executive Chefs and local budding talent. Participating properties include: Grace Bay Club, Coyaba Restaurant, The Somerset, The Regent Palms, Magnolia Restaurant, and Amanyara.
