The first BOVET Boutique will open its doors to lovers of fine luxury watchmaking on 6 september 2007 in Kiev, capital city and cultural, industrial and scientific centre of the Ukraine.
BOVET and its Ukrainian partner, the CRYSTAL Group, decided to inaugurate this first BOVET Boutique on the premises of the new Park Hyatt, on the magnificent Sofijsty Square. This hotel is already regarded as the most luxurious 5 star establishment in Eastern Europe. The boutique provides an exclusive presentation of the collection of BOVET’s most prestigious timepieces.
The opening of this first BOVET Boutique represents the embodiment of a passion and a philosophy shared for many years by BOVET 1822 and its Ukrainian partner, who has successfully attracted the attention of a clientele consisting of collectors who are looking for exceptional timepieces with high added value, from both the technical and artistic aspects. This choice is also a tribute to a partner which has from day one understood the fact that BOVET timepieces meet the criteria of clients for whom a sense of detail and sophistication is an indispensable sign of good taste.
The decoration of this first BOVET Boutique is both elegant and luxurious, marked by its unique character which is mirrored in the design of the timepieces in its FLEURIER and SPORTSTER collections.
The emblematic colours black and red are expressed in a variety of superb materials such as speckled marble from China, a country where BOVET 1822 established itself, during the 1800’s, as the most well-known luxury Swiss brand among the imperial court. Black lacquered wood and the red lining of the window displays highlight the precious metals, gemstone settings and enamel, mother-of-pearl, engine-turned or hand-engraved dials, or those of the “ Pièces Uniques ” enhanced by a miniature painted dial, an art requiring exceptional expertise which is mastered by the BOVET craftsmen. The boutique concept was preceded by corners, already introduced in several countries; two further boutiques will shortly be inaugurated elsewhere, as a symbol of BOVET’s resolve to establish its public image.
This first Boutique is also part of a development plan which Pascal Raffy, owner and President of the BOVET-DIMIER group, drew up when he acquired the brand in 2001. It is a logical and essential step towards his goal of excellence for a Swiss Watchmaking House which is celebrating this year The Art of Expressing Time for 185 years….
