Remote Lands Offers Luxury Private Yacht Holidays In Asia

By Pardhasaradhi Gonuguntla

NEW YORK – Remote Lands, the world’s leading luxury travel designer offering bespoke journeys to Asia, has introduced Luxury Private Yacht Holidays in Asia. Guests who travel by chartered yacht with Remote Lands will be able to visit some of the continent’s most secluded, far-flung regions, otherwise mostly inaccessible via land or air.

The company will arrange for guests to sail in ultimate comfort aboard a fully-appointed sumptuous yacht, visiting fascinating islands in isolated locations.

The Remote Lands Luxury Private Yacht Holiday includes round-trip airfare from a guest’s preferred destination to wherever the yacht is moored; seven nights’ accommodations onboard; gourmet meals and drinks; scuba diving and water sports; and a full complement of personal staff, including chefs, masseuses, expert guides and diving instructors. This one-of-a-kind experience begins at $100,000 per week based on double occupancy, and may be customized based on additional services. Remote Lands currently offers Luxury Private Yacht Holidays in three spectacular locations:

Raja Ampat Islands, West Papua:
The Raja Ampat islands in West Papua are home to a 9.8 million-acre marine reserve that the Nature Conservancy calls ‘the world’s bulls-eye for coral biodiversity.’ Its tightly clustered islands and islets support thriving coral reefs, which offer world-class diving and snorkeling. The surrounding areas are also ideal for hiking. Guests will sail amongst the Raja Ampat islands, visiting the Cenderwasih National Park , another biodiversity hotspot, which is home to 40 different types of the exceedingly rare Bird of Paradise. Another option is hiking with an expert naturalist through the Wondiwoi Mountain Reserve, home to unspoiled rainforests and over 100 species of birds. Remote Lands can also arrange for guides to lead guests inland to trek for several days in the mountains surrounding the Danau Giji and Danau Giti Lakes , and to visit with the Manikom and Hatam tribal people.

Andaman & Nicobar Islands:
Guests are flown to these two neighboring Indian archipelagos in the eastern Indian Ocean , which comprise 572 tropical islands, of which only 38 are permanently inhabited. Aboard their luxury yacht, guests will sail among virtually un-trodden islands and anchor off of isolated coves and beaches, perfect for sunning and water sports. Hiking and nature enthusiasts will enjoy the islands’ lush flora and fauna, teeming with tropical wildlife. Accompanied by certified instructors, guests will dive and snorkel in the crystal-clear waters surrounding the islands. To gain further understanding of the archipelagos and its peoples, guests will visit the ruins of former colonial British fortifications, and have the unique opportunity to visit with the aboriginal people of the Sentinel Island , who still live according to Stone-Age traditions.

Borneo, Kudat Riviera:
Guests will enjoy a week of secluded luxury on the Kudat Riviera, at the northern tip of the Malaysian island of Borneo . An unspoiled coast of pristine beaches and densely forested inland areas, the area is home to tribal communities who live in traditional longhouses. Passengers can “beach-hop,” cruising between the area’s immaculate beaches, and enjoy the diving and snorkeling north of Kudat in the Sulu Sea , which boasts a remarkable array of marine life. A helicopter journey inland includes an overnight stay in a longhouse with the Rungus tribal people, who will provide extraordinary insight into their way of life and their culture. Another overnight trip option is to the highlands around Kota Kinabalu, where guests can trek to Mount Kinabalu , Malaysia ‘s highest and most sacred peak.

Guests have the option of traveling on one of two spectacular vessels – a 135-foot motor sailing yacht which accommodates eight passengers in four generous, en-suite master cabins, complete with plasma televisions, entertainment systems, spacious decks and outdoor areas – or a 164-foot long yacht, which has three large master cabins and two guestrooms, each named after an island in Indonesia. Built entirely by hand by Sulawesi Konjo craftsmen, the yacht accommodates up to 12 passengers and is decorated in a modern Indonesian style with intricate textiles and teakwood paneling. The upper deck has a library, alfresco dining area, and various lounges in which to dine or to simply relax and enjoy the passing scenery.

Remote Lands can arrange for Luxury Private Yacht Holidays in many of the other Asian countries and territories to which they offer bespoke journeys. For inquiries or to make reservations, call (646) 415-8092 or visit www.remotelands.com.
