Newark, New Jersey – Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, and L’Avion, the first all-business-class French airline, have officially opened their new lounge at Newark’s Liberty International Airport.
The luxurious 2,270-square-foot lounge, which is located at the arrival level of Terminal B, offers seating for more than 100 passengers, complimentary Wi-Fi Internet access, and local phone access. At the bar, passengers will find Piper Heidsieck Champagne along with an extensive choice of alcoholic and soft beverages. Jet Airways’ first class passengers will be welcomed in an exclusive, private lounge area.
“Our clients’ journey with Jet Airways starts when they arrive at the Newark airport and we are indeed pleased to be able to offer the airline’s well known hospitality already on ground, in this pleasant lounge, leading up to Jet Airways’ amazing in-flight experience,” comments Peter Luethi, Vice President of Jet Airways for the Eastern USA & Canada.
“This is a new milestone for our already successful airline,” said Marc Rochet, CEO of L’Avion, Paris-New York. “We are proud to provide our current and new passengers with this added, exclusive, comfortable, quiet and work oriented space.”
The lounge was designed by architect Robert Sargenti and designer Kati Curtis. The project was coordinated and led by Peter Luethi, Vice President of Eastern and Midwestern USA and Canada of Jet Airways and Frantz Yvelin, Founder and Chief Development & Strategy Officer of L’Avion.
