Duck Key, FL – Hawks Cay, the private-island resort on Duck Key in the Florida Keys, has unveiled 100 newly redesigned Preferred Villas, marking the last phase of a $35 million renovation. The two-, three-, and four- bedroom villas each feature fresh design schemes and residential amenities for relaxing in style. Situated throughout the 40-acre resort, the Preferred Villas are ideal for groups or families.
Complete with oversized decks offering breathtaking views of the Atlantic, the inter-island waterway, or the marina, each Preferred Villa is constructed as a two-story town home, with space to accommodate up to eight guests comfortably. The villas were redesigned with two distinct decor options: a light and bright coastal casual beach theme of blonde woods, creamy warm wall colors and artwork reflecting the natural beauty of Duck Key, or a sophisticated Caribbean/West Indies theme with darker and more exotic hues. The villas also offer fully furnished kitchens with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, washer and dryers, living area with 42-inch LCD TVs, and a separate dining area and den.
The opening of the Preferred Villas is the final phase of Hawks Cay’s renovation, which has seen a complete transformation of the resort. A casual yet tropical elegant resort, guests can now enjoy 177 redesigned guest rooms as well as a new lobby, striking expanded veranda and sun terrace. Numerous sophisticated dining options include newly opened Alma serving Nuevo Latino cuisine helmed by renowned chef Johnny Alamilla and Beach Grill for a toes-in-the-sand dining experience. The ultimate water sports destination, the resort offers a full-service, 85 slip marina with everything from fishing to diving, to kayaking and jet skiing and is also home to the Offshore Sailing School and Dolphin Connection program.
