LAKE PLACID, NY – The Whiteface Lodge Resort & Spa announced the appointment of Douglas Marlowe Barg as Executive Chef of the resort’s culinary operations. Chef Barg will oversee all of the resort’s sophisticated dining programs including the culinary selections at Kanu, one of Lake Placid’s most celebrated restaurants.

With an impressive background in the hospitality and culinary industry, including seven years as Executive Chef of the Topnotch Resort and Spa in Stowe, VT, Barg’s accolades include Banquet Chef at The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach and Executive Chef for The Chesterfield Hotel, a luxury boutique property in Palm Beach.
