With a clean, fresh and simplistic design combining obtuse angles and non-perfect shapes, The Omphoy will offer a fresh approach to the current Palm Beach hotel scene without the pretension usually synonymous with the area. With accents from Robert Kuo and Minotti, upholster from Zimmer-Rhode and Matteo bedding, The Omphoy experience will exude luxury.
Leslie Schlesinger, owner and interior designer, created a vision for The Omphoy centered on the luminescence and movement of water paired with modern Asian influences creating a hotel experience that will project a new level of balance. A tranquil escape, The Omphoy will be infused with green, earth-friendly details evoking a relaxed and stress free ambiance. Upon entry, a grand staircase will beckon guests to the lobby of The Omphoy where floor-to-ceiling windows open the space to breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. The lobby bar will consist of a 3.5-inch thick concrete slab top that will give the room a chic and solid vibe. Backlit caste glass instillation will create a sexy aura. An Asian-influenced billiard table, 103-inch plasma television and sumptuous sofa seating will lend way to a genuinely inviting atmosphere.
“It was important to create an unpretentious boutique hotel experience to appeal to the young and ‘in-the-know’ traveler, and we do that with a less severe and comfortably relaxed earthy design scheme at The Omphoy,” says Schlesinger. “We’ve created a drama that didn’t exist in Palm Beach before now. The Omphoy is a place where you can kick off your shoes during the day and put on your Cavalli at night and be perfect in both.”
Each guestroom at The Omphoy will feature custom-designed furniture and crisp white sheeting. At the end of the day, The Omphoy guests will rest well in bedding Schlesinger identified from the luxury MATTEO collection.
Beckoning like a shimmering wave, The Omphoy will be the only boutique hotel on the iridescent shores of Palm Beach that engages the escapist in everyone with an unpretentious air and the continuous flow of fresh ocean breezes.
