ARGUS TRAQPak data is serial-number specific aircraft arrival and departure information on all IFR flights in the US (including Alaska and Hawaii). The table below reflects business aircraft activity data for October 1-31, 2009 vs. October 1-31, 2008. Part 135 charter certificate flight activity reflects flights of aircraft on Part 135 charter certificates irrespective of the mission type.
Business aircraft activity continues to show improvement in October. October 2009 activity bodes well for continued recovery in the 4th quarter. TRAQPak data indicates October business aircraft activity increased 5.14% over the previous month (September 2009). Comparing October of this year versus October 2008 activity is up 2.5%. The turbo prop aircraft sector led the improvement at 9.1%, with the Part 91 market segment showing the strongest overall results at 5.9% above October 2008. ARGUS estimates the percent change of flight activity, rolling month over month, for the last twelve months is up an average of .67% per month. Total flight activity for the last twelve months as compared to the previous twelve months is off -18.41% (Nov. 07–Oct. 08 vs. Nov. 08–Oct. 09)
