Influenced by the glamour and grandeur of the city of Venice, DeVos’ showing reflected her twin loves of travel and luxury.

As stars like Alfre Woodard, Brooke Shields and Mena Suvari looked on from the front row, DeVos sent a slew of Old Hollywood-inspired looks down the runway. Metallic beading was a standout statement, from a slinky silver cap-sleeve beaded column to a gold paillette gown with a deep V-neck that was made for the spotlight. Plunging backs and asymmetrical draping turned up the drama on dresses crafted from satin, chiffon and charmeuse.

For those women whose job description doesn’t include walking a red carpet, Pamella Roland introduced a dose of glamour to day dressing, topping cashmere turtlenecks with lush furs and livening up leggings—now ubiquitous on the runway—with jewel-encrusted legwarmers.

Closing the show was an elegant ivory silk faille wedding gown, complete with a frothy floral appliqué train that threatened to take down the model wearing it as she made her precarious turn at the end of the runway. Fortunately she remained upright, and DeVos took to the runway moments later, her three children in tow, to much applause—another successful season under her belt.
