Saffronart, the world’s largest online fine-art auction house, is hosting its annual Spring Online Auction of Modern and Contemporary Indian Art next week, from March 10-11, 2010.
The sale will be comprised of 100 lots of by 47 Indian artists, including iconic works by modern masters like F.N. Souza, S.H. Raza, Manjit Bawa, Ram Kumar and Akbar Padamsee alongside exceptional works from contemporary artists such as Shibu Natesan, Atul Dodiya, Subodh Gupta, Anju Dodiya,T.V. Santhosh and more.
The auction will take place online at www.saffronart.com, where the catalog is now available for viewing. Preview events have been scheduled at Saffronart’s gallery spaces in both New York and Mumbai. Collectors will be able to place bids via the website in addition to Saffronart’s proprietary Blackberry and iPhone mobile applications.
