The Los Cabos Convention & Visitors Bureau announced today the official dates of the first annual Gracias al Arte event; a unique and highly anticipated art exhibit taking place from November 22-24, 2010 in Cabo San Lucas. Hosted at the Casa Club, located within the Auberge Private Residences, the Gracias al Arte event will celebrate the beauty of Mexican artistry.
The three-day exhibit will feature works from six of Mexico’s most popular artists:
Raul Anguiano, Beatriz del Carmen Cuevas and Jose Luis Cuevas, Tere Metta, Yolanda Gonzalez, Jose Sacal and Leslie Zaidenweber. All artists will be present for the duration of the exhibit and each will showcase ten works of art that will be available for purchase and one piece that will be included as part of a silent auction benefitting three local charities – the Los Cabos Humane Society and the Los Cabos Children’s Foundation.
“We are thrilled to welcome the first ever Gracias al Arte event in Cabo San Lucas this November,” said Gonzalo Franyutti, President of the Los Cabos Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Los Cabos has garnered a renowned reputation for offering travelers luxury resorts, world-class golf courses and spas, exquisite cuisine and an exceptional level of service; but it is important to promote the rich culture, history and art also available throughout our beautiful destination and this event will be sure to bring this to the forefront.”
The festivities begin on November 22nd with a VIP dinner at the Beach Club in the Auberge Private Residences, Punta Ballena, where guests are able to attend an intimate evening with the artists. On November 23rd, the exhibit will remain open from 11:00am to 11:00pm where travelers are welcome to come and enjoy the amazing artwork firsthand, followed by an exclusive and private cocktail event. Finally, on November 24th, a special “by invitation only” brunch and awards ceremony will be held to honor the participating artists.
