Marrakech, Morocco – Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine
The lavish Royal Mansour, a palatial hotel nestled within Marrakech’s ancient medina walls, has added even more beauty to its arabesque hallways. The hotel, already home to fantastical works of art by 80 Moroccan artists, is set to host its first art exhibit this month. Leila Alaoui, a fêted French-Moroccan photographer, will be the inaugural exhibits’ featured artist. Alaoui will pay homage to the painters, sculptors and photographers whose work is already on display at the property.
Following this exhibition, which is due to last until end of June, Royal Mansour will continue to invite Morocco’s top artists to showcase their works for the hotel’s international guests. The property’s permanent art collection is dotted around the colorfully decorated public spaces, lined with traditional hand-wrought tile-work and mosaics, and in sumptuous riads that, along with these masterpieces, feature open-air courtyards and roof terraces overlooking the Atlas Mountains.
