Zenith’s rich tradition of creating timepieces that helped explorers plot their adventures at sea lives on in the design of its modern day line of Captain watches. Beginning this month, a new limited edition Captain, clad in deep blue Pacific Ocean hues, will be sold exclusively at Westime boutiques in Southern California.
“Professional explorers and adventurers continue to wear Zenith watches today, and between expeditions they often visit Westime to share their experiences with our clients,” says Greg Simonian, president of Westime. “We are honored that Zenith created a watch so perfectly suited for the lives that our customers lead.”
The Captain Winsor 28-piece Limited Edition for Westime contains an annual calendar complication and Zenith’s in-house El Primero automatic chronograph movement. The 42-mm stainless steel and 18K rose gold case frames a black and blue guilloche dial with rose gold-plated hands and indexes. Day and month are displayed on the dial in the 3 o’clock location, a 60-minute counter and the date reside at 6 o’clock, and small seconds are seen at 9 o’clock. Côtes de Genève finishing on the movement is visible through the sapphire caseback. A blue alligator leather strap lined with rubber completes the timepiece.
