Tabacón Grand Spa Thermal Resort Launches Volcano-Based Lifestyle & Wellness Program

By Pardhasaradhi Gonuguntla

La Fortuna, Costa Rica – Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine

This winter season, Tabacón Grand Spa Thermal Resort’s new Lifestyle & Wellness Program brings you right to the source of nature’s restorative powers—to Costa Rica’s Arenal Volcano.

Tucked into the base of the active volcano, the resort’s lush rainforest setting is a haven for healing in itself. Wrap yourself in the soothing comfort of volcano-heated thermal pools, where a therapist can guide tense guests through a series of Watsu stretches. Alternatively, the volcano can come to you in the form of luxurious treatments like the Volcanic Mud Wrap, a local specialty perfect for a little pampering. Or if it’s a lot of R&R that you need, the Lifestyle & Wellness Program includes two of the resort’s 11 three-treatment spa packages.

Natural massages and wraps aside, a large menu of exercise offerings and nutritional feasts take an all-around approach to wellness. Walking and bike trails surrounding Tabacón take guests deep into the rainforest, and the resort’s exotic gardens provide a stress-less space to breathe in the crisp air. Otherwise, invigorate tired limbs at a group yoga class or strengthen the muscles with a private training session.

To complete the therapeutic experience, an Ayurvedic diet prioritizes fueling the body with healthy but scrumptious nutrients. Besides enjoying an internationally inspired daily breakfast and lunch, become immersed in balanced indulgences by cooking with an Ayurvedic chef and helping him craft the menu for a private bungalow dinner gala.

From $2,900 per person for 7 days (based on double occupancy).
