SLS Hotel South Beach Announces April Debut

South Beach, Miami – Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine

Following the 2008 launch of the SLS Hotel brand’s flagship in Beverly Hills, sbe Hospitality continues to redefine cutting-edge hospitality concepts with its first East Coast venture, SLS Hotel South Beach, scheduled to open in April 2012 with a bang.

To develop the South Beach outpost, sbe Founder, Chairman and CEO Sam Nazarian brought together a star-studded list of collaborators, including visionary designer Philippe Starck, James Beard Award-winning chef José Andrés, musician and entertainment guru Lenny Kravitz and master sushi chef Katsuya Uechi.

Design concepts by Kravitz will include a luxury poolside bungalow and penthouse suite, while Starck’s carefully crafted mise-en-scène will infuse traditional Japanese elements with a provocative twist at Katsuya, a restaurant whose sushi, robata and cocktail menus promise an über-elite experience. Chef José Andrés will blend flavors of the Caribbean, Cuba and Latin America at The Bazaar, offering upscale Miami-inspired cuisine and creative elixirs in playful lounge spaces.
