New York, New York – Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine
Ferrocarriles del Ecuador has begun the operations of three new panoramic cars, on the Alausí-Sibambe-Alausí route, also known as the “Nariz del Diablo” route.
The official presentation of the Spanish-built car, which is now part of the rail network, took place on Thursday, April 26 at the Alausí train station. The goal of this addition is to attract tourists and generate economic development opportunities for the communities involved. Agreements were also signed with three local associations:
– the Tolte Community Development Association
– the Nizag Agrarian Community Tourism Association
– and the Nariz del Diablo Association
With these new cars, Tren Ecuador has officially inaugurated its Standard and Standard Plus products. The panoramic cars are a convenient and comfortable option for tourists. The train has an average capacity of 130 passengers. It also has air conditioning, drinking water, restrooms and a pneumatic suspension system for a softer ride and greater balance as the train moves along the track. Passengers will receive a coupon for a drink in the cafeteria car. Travelers with a Standard Plus ticket will also enjoy on-board service.
