Ritz-Carlton Raises the Bar with New Mobile App

By Pardhasaradhi Gonuguntla

Chevy Chase, Maryland – Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine

Guests now have another reason to stay at an illustrious Ritz-Carlton property: the brand has just debuted its new mobile app in twenty locations worldwide.

The new app integrates search and reservation functions with The Ritz-Carlton’s Foursquare tips, which uses GPS technology to alert users of concierged-produced tips for nearby attractions around the hotel. Even more exclusive are tips from the company’s president himself—no one knows the hotels like Herve Humler, and guests can use the app to get to know a property’s ins and outs even before they arrive.

Quick Response (QR) codes are the backbone of this new endeavor. When scanned into phones, they can, for example, guide users through the fine art collection at the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua or provide clues for the scavenger hunt at the Ritz-Carlton, Berlin.

The Ritz-Carlton App is available for download at www.RitzCarlton.com/App.
