Guests of Rosewood Tucker’s Point in Bermuda can now enjoy an exclusive adventure of a lifetime with a peek into the historic Castle Harbour shipwreck, The Warwick. After the success of last year’s portion of the excavation, the research team is back to continue uncovering the mystery behind this significant wreck in a partnership with Bermuda’s Maritime Museum. The Warwick, whose construction is believed to date back to the Armada of 1588, set sail in 1619 and crossed paths with a furious hurricane, which sent the ship to the depths of the sea off the coast of what is now Rosewood Tucker’s Point.
From now through July 24, Rosewood Tucker’s Point will invite guests to dive alongside researchers as they investigate the shipwreck. The Warwick Adventure package includes luxurious accommodations and a Tuesday or Thursday dive excursion for two people. Rates begin at $875 (excluding tax and gratuities) for the first night and additional nights are available at regular published rates.
Throughout the course of the yearly dives, the research team electronically surveys each uncovered section of the ship. These surveys will later be used to re-create The Warwick on land, where it will be housed in Bermuda’s Maritime Museum.
