NEW YORK – Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine
Loopy Doopy, the new rooftop cocktail bar at Conrad New York, recently debuted with awe-inspiring views, classic cocktails and seasonal snacks from acclaimed Executive Chef Anthony Zamora. Named for the magnificent work of art by noted contemporary artist Sol LeWitt in the hotel atrium, Loopy Doopy is a standout among the city’s rooftop bars.
A creative menu of festive drinks and light bites is set against a backdrop of views of the city, the Statue of Liberty and sunsets over the Hudson River. Loopy Doopy offers patrons an inviting setting, styled in a contemporary design and accommodating up to 75 people with cushioned wood deck seating surrounded by attractive greenery.
“The rooftop bar extends the design and lifestyle themes of the hotel interiors onto an elegant and contemporary raised urban oasis with panoramic views of the Hudson River,” said Joshua Chaiken, Design Principal at Kohn Pedersen Fox.
The Loopy Doopy rooftop bar emphasizes timeless cocktail elements and a modern approach to revelry. Prosecco is available fresh from the tap and the signature “Prosecco and Popsicle” will quench summer thirst with boozy, house-made ice pops for dipping into a bubbly glass.
Indeed, drinks at Loopy Doopy, celebrate subtlety and sophistication with classic American cocktails and original concoction fashion from fresh ingredients and designer labels. The Loopy Doopy wine list is also impressive, offering classic Mediterranean labels and New World discoveries as well as Spanish sherries, Italian digestifs, French Champagnes and, of course, fresh Italian Prosecco.
“Loopy Doopy sets a lively scene and we envision that it will be a popular meeting spot for area residents, hotel guests and travelers to Lower Manhattan alike,’ said Robert Rechtermann, General Manager, Conrad New York. “With stylish design, exceptional views and innovative offerings by the glass and on the plate, Loopy Doopy will bring flair to Battery Park City.”
Chef Zamora, a veteran of Five-Star and Five-Diamond restaurants in New York and Miami, carries the simple, contemporary culinary concept he has introduced at Atrio to the rooftop. Inventive offerings include hearty flatbreads, roasted seasonal vegetables, meatballs, salads, artisanal cheeses and cured meats.
