Following an extensive refurbishment the award-winning Mandarin Oriental San Francisco hotel celebrates its new look with a special reopening package.
Located in the heart of the city, the Mandarin Oriental San Francisco was the iconic hotel group’s first outpost in the US. Opened 25 years ago, it marked the beginning of a hotel empire renowned for its elegance and exemplary service. Orchestrated by San Francisco-based interior designer Michael Booth of BAMO, the refurbishment, which includes luxurious new interiors throughout, has been completed in time for the hotel’s silver anniversary.
The new ‘Fresh Look’ package begins with a night in one of the luxurious newly designed guestrooms, all of which are situated on floors 38 to 48 to give views spanning over the bay and the city’s top landmarks such as the Golden Gate and Bay Bridge. The new guestrooms have been designed in shades of cool blue and silver to reflect the calm, sparkling waters of the bay. A complimentary 375ml bottle of Prelation 2010, the hotel’s third vintage of custom-blended Pinot Noir, is provided in-suite but perhaps the standout feature in the package is the three course taster menu at the hotel’s brand new signature restaurant, Brasserie S&P.
Headed by Executive Chef Adam Mail, the new restaurant spearheads the hotel’s new look, serving sophisticated San Francisco brasserie-style cuisine in a relaxed setting. Using the finest Californian produce it also features a Raw Bar serving oysters and Dungeness Crab. The restaurant bar specialises in homemade tonics and the package includes a specially crafted Gin and Tonic tasting. Guests can also enjoy the restaurant’s signature dish of Eggs Benedict as part of the Continental breakfast which completes the package.
The hotel’s meeting rooms have also received a complete facelift with a new event space spanning up to 5,145 square feet. The hotel is also very proud of its entirely new Italian travertine marble lobby and an improved luxury spa is also on its way.
