The Mandarin Oriental, San Francisco is opening the doors of its 8,000-square-foot Spa and Fitness Center on October 1. The spa is a luxurious experience that offers unique and holistic Asian-inspired spa treatments. Now jetsetters can relax and experience lavish rejuvenation while also taking in the hustle and bustle of San Francisco.
The spa is located on the hotel’s third floor, where a team of holistic therapists provide a sensory experience that incorporates treatment for the mind, body and spirit. The Spa offers a tranquil, meditative setting and features a total of four treatment suites, including a special couple’s suite and a relaxing Tea Lounge for guests to rest and reflect.
The spa is designed to invigorate the senses; the palette includes warm and natural colors with Asian detailing. The walls feature richly textured, mocha-hued coverings accented with illuminated golden tones. The atmosphere created will transport guests to a new world, where they can experience a multitude of new treatments.
The Mandarin Oriental Signature Spa Therapies package consist of a relaxing, hands-on body massage ritual that combines the powerful effects of Oriental meridian massage with the therapeutic benefits of custom-blended essential oils. The signature 60-minute Oriental Essence massage will present guests a firm, full-body massage concentrating on neck, shoulder and lower back areas. Other treatments include the 1 hour 50 minute Oriental Harmony, a treatment performed by two therapists working in perfect unison to replenish the skin using a soft scrub followed by a massage to balance the body.
The Mandarin has also created new treatments called “Time Rituals,” with this unique treatment you can book a certain amount of time instead of a specific treatment. The treatments performed are designed especially for you, catering to exactly what your body needs. Time Rituals are intended to restore a natural state of equilibrium. Beginning with a welcoming foot ritual, each Time Ritual will provide a peaceful path to an unforgettable experience.
There are also multiple designer treatments available, these include the Mother-to-be treatment to nurture and support expecting mothers in a time of constant change, and the Cocoon for the New Mother treatment to provide new mothers with special attention after the stresses of pregnancy with a nourishing, regenerative treatment. Also available are new lavish facials, including Beauty by Mandarin Oriental, a series of results-oriented anti-aging facial treatments designed to maximize tone, texture and skin radiance using bespoke products and equipment from Aromatherapy Associates.
The men are not left out at this new oasis, a full array of body massages, body wraps and scrubs, Gentleman Essential treatments, hand and foot rejuvenations, and nail care are available to make every guest feel completely renewed.
To make you feel beautiful inside and out the Mandarin Oriental has also update and renovated their Fitness Center. The spacious Fitness Center will keep hotel guests motivated and challenged featuring the latest range of Technogym equipment and Precor Machines.
