With winter officially on the way, warm sea-breezes and some good old fashioned retail-therapy are needed now more than ever. Thankfully premier retail specialists, Seaside Luxe, are looking to alleviate your snow-bound blues with the opening of three brand new, oceanfront boutiques.
Building on the success of its U.S. locations, Seaside Luxe takes its revolutionary approach to resort retail to the Caribbean by opening a multi-brand boutique at the luxurious Viceroy Anguilla this year.
Projected to open on December 16, Seaside Luxe will take over the retail space and re-imagine it through the eyes of the guest. Strata, the signature boutique, will carry a well-edited selection of designer fashion for women, stylish apparel for men, exclusive merchandise, investment jewelry and unique home goods by designers including Eres, Irene Neuwirth, Kimberly McDonald, Missoni and Missoni Home, Roberto Cavalli, Stella McCartney, and Yigal Azrouël.
Taking full advantage of its unparalleled beachside location, Seaside Luxe will construct a seasonal, cabana-like structure directly on the sand, which will be covered in a custom-created Missoni fabric, designed by the Missoni family, exclusively for the property. This glamorous tent will house an impressive collection of all beach-related items.
Further south, Coinciding with the unveiling of Copacabana Palace’s $17 million renovation, Seaside Luxe’s new Rio-based boutiques will offer a high-style shopping environment that combines European elegance with a Latin influence, showcasing old-world glamour while reflecting modern-day sophistication. Opening October 2012, Seaside Luxe’s signature luxury women’s boutique, 1923, will be the gem of the Copacabana shopping scene. The glamorous space will entice guests to linger and indulge with a well-edited selection of high-end women’s fashion and jewelry with brands such as Roberto Cavalli, Jean Paul Gaultier and Yigal Azrouël.

Opening in December 2012 is Seaside Luxe’s more casual beach concept, Villa Copa. This retail space boasts selections of stylish apparel, swimwear and accessories for men and women – ranging from chic basics to one-of-a-kind designer exclusives – by renowned and up-and-coming Brazilian and international fashion designers.
Impeccably designed by Seaside Luxe’s Creative Director Eric Lopez, the sophisticated interiors of Seaside Luxe at Copacabana Palace fuse vintage Rio de Janeiro with fashion-forward Carioca sensibilities to match the resort’s classic façade and location adjacent to the celebrated beach.
