Malibu, California—Reported By Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine
Twenty Twenty (T20) Cycling LLC announces that Emmy-nominated actor and avid cyclist Patrick Dempsey and veteran Pro-Cyclist, Tom Danielson, will host an all-inclusive, week-long cycling camp at the renowned fitness retreat, The Ranch at Live Oak / Malibu. This educational and action-packed week offers a limited number of cycling enthusiasts the opportunity to experience the life of a pro athlete and learn how to improve their own performance in the sport.
Running from January 20 – 26, the daily program, which is limited to 16 guests, will include fully supported rides, nutritionally prepared meals by industry experts, daily massages, and fitness and nutrition program advice/consultation along with private accommodations. This intimate experience will also allow for riders to receive personal interaction with both Dempsey and Danielson during their six night stay.
“Tom and I are extremely excited to create a whole new type of cycling experience.” said Dempsey. “The Ranch at Live Oak is the perfect setting to have an unforgettable week riding, relaxing, and learning how to improve both on and off the bike—all while benefiting youth cycling and the future of this great sport. I’m just hoping I can keep up with our guests!”
To ensure riders have the ultimate experience, T20 Cycling has teamed up with industry leaders Specialized and Garmin to provide pro caliber equipment. Each cyclist will receive their own personal Garmin Edge GPS cycling computer to track and record their rides. With a total 400 miles to be covered over the week, moderate or advanced fitness is recommended but not required.
“The roads around Malibu have become one of my favorite places to train.” said Danielson. “You can ride all day on perfect roads with mountains on one side and ocean on the other with very little traffic. Patrick and I are excited to share this area, help others get a jump-start on their 2013 cycling and fitness goals and give back to the future of cycling.”
This exclusive camp will benefit youth cycling and promote fitness and wellness to the youth though the sport of cycling. The week-long program will be offered at an all-inclusive rate of $8,000 with 10% of proceeds being donated to various youth charities.
