Two of the founding Vice Presidents of Gilt Groupe, Leah Park and Christian Leone, have launched Vaunte, an e-tail, editorial, and interactive community concept for the luxury market.
Vaunte ventures into the closets of today’s top fashion insiders and tastemakers, blending editorial content with an e-commerce platform that allows exclusive members to purchase the actual designer merchandise in each ‘starlets’ wardrobe.
Vaunte creates a unique shopping platform for its members by providing behind-the-scenes photography and interviews with each starlet. Along with access to the closets’ high designer wares, clients will also be able to purchase, list product, comment, like, contact, and be notified of new merchandise as it hits the site. At launch, members can peruse the closets of such influencers as designers Lela Rose, Charlotte Ronson, Alex Kramer and Veronica Beard, writer Jill Kargman, W Editor Karla Martinez and Vogue editor Valerie Boster, fashion icon Iris Apfel, and New York Vintage owner Shannon Hoey, with new starlets and fashion “must-have” items being introduced each week. Each closet contains upwards of 20 shoppable items across designer apparel, jewelry, shoes, handbags, and accessories.
The site is a one-of-a-kind marketplace that welcomes and features vintage, couture, designer, and upper contemporary with brands like Hermes, Chanel, Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Lanvin, Chloe, Alaia, Givenchy, Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik, Celine and Prada emphasizing selectivity and a quality merchandise offering. In addition to its unique position as an e-tailer, Vaunte aims to become a meaningful, impactful voice and arbiter of style in the digital luxury space by focusing on creating compelling editorial content and an active, avid community.
As CEO of Vaunte, Park’s creative vision is informed by her years as the former Vice President of Creative at Gilt Groupe and former Senior Art Director at Bergdorf Goodman. Leone acts as Chief Communications Officer of Vaunte, having served in the roles of VP of Marketing/Communications and Brand Relations at Gilt Groupe as well as VP of Communications at Giorgio Armani.
