Dubai’s coastline is fast becoming a popular cruising destination.
With over 250 miles of coastline, hundreds of man-made and natural islands lying off its shores and marinas capable of accommodating the latest and largest superyachts, it presents many options for those wanting to take to its waters. Other Emirates along the same coast are also building up their marinas to accommodate superyachts so you are never short of cruising destinations out of Dubai.
DUBAI MARINA YACHT CLUB
The entrance to this marina is truly phenomenal; a two mile (3.5 kilometer) canal leads to one of the largest private yacht clubs in the world, located right in the heart of New Dubai.
The two marinas currently resident here are East Marina and Clubhouse Marina, soon to be joined by two further marinas with the ultimate aim of hosting 500 yachts ranging from 20–118 feet (6–36 meters) in length. New Dubai is the up-and-coming heart of the city. Located here are three top hotels – Sheraton, Ritz Carlton and Le Royal Meridian not to mention the enormous Palm Jumeirah on its doorstop. The prestigious Clubhouse has luxury restaurants, a shopping arcade and a private member’s area offering a new maritime lifestyle to Dubai. Furthermore, Dubai marina Yacht Club can offer a 43 foot American-built Carver motor yacht for luxury charters around the UAE.
