The legendary Moroccan hotel, La Mamounia, celebrates its 90th anniversary with its first ever signature vintage wine, “Icône”.
Exclusively produced by and for La Mamounia, the wine was developed by the hotel’s head sommelier, Manuel Schott, and the producer at La Ferme Rouge Winery in Had Brachoua, Rommani, Jacques Poulain. Described as expressive and seductive, the wine is 94% Syrah and 6% Viognier and will be sure to impress fine wine connoisseurs with its bold flavor.
Hassan El Glaoui, one of Morocco’s most respected painters, was enlisted to sign and label a portion of the 600 bottles of Icône. Available now and only sold by the bottle at La Mamounia, the wine retails at $141 USD per bottle.
For $3,280 USD a night, guests at La Mamounia may choose the Wine Experience Package. The package includes a wine cellar visit and tasting with the hotel’s chef sommelier, a wine bottle of Icône at the end of the tasting, a la carte dinner at Le Marocain, round trip transfers from MarrakechAirport, a 30 minute relaxing massage upon arrival and a daily buffet breakfast.
