Louis Vuitton is set to open an exclusive pop-up store in Paris this week, where globetrotters can get their hands on customized luggage and find out the art of packing a suitcase with a demonstration from a travel expert.
Designed in collaboration with editor-in-chief of Monocle magazine, Tyler Brule, and his team, the pop-up at 22 Avenue Montaigne pays tribute to Louis Vuitton’s passion for adventure, offering luggage in the legendary Monogram canvas, travel accessories and looks for the modern traveler.
The Maison pop-up will offer a wide range of options for customising luggage when it opens on 12 September, including special orders and the My Monogram service, which paints or hot-stamps customers’ initials onto their luggage.
In addition, there will be the chance to see a travel expert demonstrate exactly how to artfully pack a suitcase – bringing back to mind Louis Vuitton’s original profession of ‘clothes packer’ when he started out in Paris in 1854. Expert craftsman will also be on hand to offer after-sales support and luggage repair.
Visitors to the Avenue Montaigne pop-up store will be able to buy exclusive “L’Aventure” travel accessories created especially for the store, which can be hot-stamped on request.
A selection of 26 collector’s postcards, which are in the style of the tips found in the Louis Vuitton City Guides, will also be available.
The “L’Aventure” store will open from 12 September until 31st December 2013, 10am – 7pm.
