While traveling to check out the best slopes in Switzerland this winter, don’t forget to bring Fido along to enjoy the Dog Welcome package at the luxurious Gstaad Palace in the heart of the lovely chalet village where he will be treated like a king. Gstaad Palace has top notch amenities for your furry friend, so while you’re out on the slopes you’ll be able to relax knowing he’s getting the royal treatment.

The package includes: dry food, along with a la carte options such as, chicken, beef, carrots, rice or other special requests; two water bowls; a pillow (big or small), and a personalized welcome card. There is also a 24 hour dog walking service at no extra cost and a dog sitting service. The dog package rates are CHF 60 per day (approximately $65 USD). Hotel rates at Gstaad Palace start from CHF 720 (approximately $803 USD).

For the ultimutt in pampering, book the sumptuous Penthouse Suite. Perched on the roof of the Gstaad Palace and with private lift access, this nearly 2,600-square-foot sanctuary dazzles with three bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and steam baths, spacious dining and living rooms, a fireplace, kitchenette and 1,506 square-foot terrace with a Jacuzzi.

This fabulous, five-star hotel located in the heart of the Bernese Alps and set on a hill overlooking the beautiful Saanenland, first opened its doors on December 8, 1913. In addition to offering a furbulous pet package and 104 elegant accommodations, there are also  several dining options. Enjoy international cuisine at Le Grill Rôtisserie, where gentlemen are requested to wear a jacket in the evening, or authentic Italian at Gildo’s Ristorante, named after Head Maître D’ Gildo Bocchini, who has been an indispensable part of the Palace since the sixties.

But the place to be for evening cocktails is Le Bar du Grill. Pace yourself though. After 11 p.m., you’ll want to hit GreenGo, the famous nightclub at the Gstaad Palace and where resident DJ Jim Leblanc plays the most popular and up-to-date songs for the illustrious clientele. You can always rejuvenate yourself at Gstaad Palace’s amazing spa at Gstaad Palace, which has a Private Suite as well as a relaxation area with incredible views.

Gstaad Palace opens for the winter season December 18, 2013 and closes March 9, 2014. Gstaad Palace is also open during the summer but there’s no need to wait until then for Fifi to enjoy a petcation.
