Dubai’s biggest golfing event and a highlight of the European Tour, the Omega Dubai Desert Classic attracts a host of world-class golfers to the Emirates Golf Club, Dubai’s oldest championship course.
The event was founded in 1989, the first European Tour event to be staged in the Middle East. The spectator experience here is one of the finest to be had; along with the comfortable Arabian climate, the course is Dubai’s most beautiful with landscaped lakes, date palms and staggering vistas of Dubai’s vertical skyline. The best view of the tournament is from Le Classique, Emirates Golf Club’s finest restaurant. From here you can dine and relax while watching golfing stars tee off, and see the entire tournament from well-placed flat–screen televisions.
