Ball season is underway in Vienna. Travelers headed to Austria’s capital with their four-legged friend can choose from an array of luxe hotels that pamper pooches.
The Hotel Sacher Vienna provides a plush blanket with paw prints, comfy bed, bowls, toys, treats, towels, and a do-not-disturb sign with a dog’s photo. Pet-toting guests receive a booklet listing local pet resources and pet-palate pleasing recipes, plus they can bring their pets with them when they dine at Sacher Stube. Modern dogs will have a tail-waggin’ time at the new Palais Hansen Kempinski, which, in addition to a darling bed and bowls, provides hand-written notes to pups as well as a room service menu and turndown service for little guests. A surprise parting pet gift is a particularly nice touch. At The Ritz- Carlton Vienna, pets are greeted in their suite with a hand-written welcome note with paw prints, lush “The Ritz-Carlton Vienna” pet bed, food, bottled water, bowls, and door-hang tag. A doggie bed can even be placed in DSTRIKT, the hotel’s restaurant so pets can sit by their people.

The Sebastian, a boutique, luxury hotel in Vail Village recently unleashed a new pet menu.
Among the offerings for distinguished dogs and fine felines are homemade gourmet peanut butter treats, shredded flank steak, and sautéed white fish and tuna salad. A bed, bowls, and treats are supplied. Plus, pets get their names put on a welcome board that lists the dogs and cats staying at the property. The Sebastian can assist with pet food purchases and offers pet sitting and walking services.
