DOLCE VITA BAR
The Dolce Vita has enjoyed several makeovers since it opened in 1985.
Architects Simon Miller, Claudio Nardi and Gaetano Pesce have all contributed to the bar’s iconic interior. Diner-style stainless steel high stools and tables surround the curved white bar and bright splashes of paint enliven the concrete floor. There is a relaxed leather seating area bathed in blue green light, with luminous sculptures and hand-picked glass tiles. The Dolce Vita has a large exhibition space where a new selection of artwork is displayed every 30 days. The bar offers a broad selection of international wines and hosts regular wine tastings, complemented by flavorsome French cheeses and Tuscan salami.
FUORI PORTA
This unassuming establishment with wooden benches and paper napkins boasts an unexpected and astonishing wine list.
The cellar holds between 530 and 600 labels with a rotation of 250 labels each year and new wines arriving every ten days. Wines can be bought by the glass or bottle and the staff are knowledgeable. Straightforward Tuscan dishes are served to complement the wine menu. In summer, pick a spot outside and enjoy rustic bruschetta and crostini and sample superior Tuscan and international wines. Owner Andrea Conti also runs the adjoining wine shop and will ship wines to the USA.

TEATRO DEL SALE
For a unique private event with catering by celebrity chef Fabio Picchi, hire out the vibrant Teatro del Sale.
This former theater houses a rustic kitchen replete with a wood burning stove and a large room with vaulted ceiling for dining and entertainment. The Teatro del Sale is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and regularly presents evenings of theater and music. This lively private members club can be hired for exclusive events complete with fine cuisine and entertainment.
