This includes the Aberlour 16 Year Old (HK$1,050) well-known for its soft heather honey-ish character and smooth spun sugar, caramel palate – distinctive of the Speyside Region.
Islay, one of the southernmost Inner Hebridean Islands located off the west coast of Scotland is home to famous Scottish distilleries including Laphroaig, which produces one of the most strongly flavoured of all Scotch whiskies. Single Cask whiskies are some of the rarest and most exclusive whiskies available at Liquor & Liqueur. Single Cask whiskies are a premium class, where each bottle is produced from an individual barrel. Only a certain number of bottles can be produced from one barrel ensuring that there is a finite number.
Some of the finest Single Cask Single Malt Scotch Whiskies come from independent bottlers Douglas Laing and include the Macallan 20 Year Old by Old Malt Cask (HK$2,080) available at Liquor & Liqueur.
Another range of rare whiskies available at Liquor & Liqueur includes the Macallan 18 Gran Reserva series (HK$22,900), which was released around the turn of the century. These releases were made in small batches from casks that were too good to be vatted into the standard 18 year old release and are highly prized by collectors today.
