Let’s Hear it for The Brits
It doesn’t get more comforting than pies and pudding… The Place brings British favorites to its tables over Easter.
Led by Executive Chef Paul McLoughlin, freshly baked Steak and Kidney Pie, slow-cooked Beef in Guinness Beer, good old Beer-Battered Fish and Chips and cute Scottish Eggs are in the buffet line-up, with Roast Beef and Lamb Shoulder on the carvery served with Yorkshire Puddings and gravy, fondly known as Yorkshire Pudds or Yorkies.
Alongside the British highlights are The Place’s all-time show-stoppers: freshly shucked New Zealand oysters and the day’s catch seafood station including fresh prawns, dill crayfish sashimi, and more.
Executive Pastry Chef Teddy Arcon and team have gone all out with their pudding this Easter – piping hot Bread and Butter Pudding, homemade Trifle, Jam Roly Polys, and mini afternoon teas will be decorated by Fairy Cakes, Scones and Crumpets at the scrum-didly-umptious candy corner all season.
Shaken or stirred…
For more holiday fun, The Place will set up a Be My Mixologist Easter Drink Zone for kids to shake or stir one-of-a-kind mocktails. The popular Easter Egg Decoration Counter makes a come-back where families popping down to the lively neighborhood may decorate Easter eggs of their own.
Both activities will be available over the Easter holidays during the lunch and afternoon tea buffets from 18 to 21 April 2014.
