Once a year the Wall Street community comes out to support our troops and veterans with the “A Night for Life” Fundraising event.
The event was started by Derek Wallis, a former equity trader at Soros Fund Management for 12 years. While a Head trader at the firm Derek was inspired by the charitable endeavors of George Soros and began to host a yearly event to give back to our military.
Last year over 1,500 people attended the event and previous notable performances at the Intrepid include: The Roots, Third Eye Blind, and Ne Yo; prior guest speakers include Wesley Clark and Medal of Honor winner Paul Bucha. The event will be heavily attended by Wall Street executives and military professionals. Proceeds will be donated to an organization called Stop A Solider Suicide this year.
