Glittering with Tiffany & Co.’s world renowned diamonds and legendary colored gemstones, Tiffany welcomed guests from around the world to its newest store at 62, Avenue de Champs Élysées.
The evening was hosted by Frederic Cumenal, President of Tiffany & Co. and Marc Jacheet, Managing Director for Tiffany & Co. in France & Benelux. The approximately 300 guests included Jessica Biel, Hilary Swank, Emmanuelle Seigner, Melanie Doutey, Marina Hands, Caterina Murino and Elsa Zylberstein. Guests were welcomed to a cocktail reception at the store where they were able to explore the magnificent new interiors and jewellery collections displayed across three floors. Also on view for a limited time, is the legendary Tiffany Diamond. The 128.54-carat fancy yellow diamond is mounted in a necklace of white diamonds totaling more than 100 carats. It is the heart of Tiffany’s diamond legacy and the inspiration behind every Tiffany diamond.
Following a ribbon-cutting ceremony outside the store, officiated by Jessica Biel, Mr Cumenal, Mr Jacheet and Ms Rollet, Tiffany & Co.’s Group Vice President for Europe, guests were then ushered to the top of the Champs Élysées in Infiniti cars where they disembarked to make their way to the top of the Arc de Triomphe to continue the evening at this important cultural monument.
From the roof terrace of the Arc de Triomphe, with spectacular views across the city, guests enjoyed a dramatic moment when sky tracers lit the new store on the Champs Élysées, concurrent with the lighting of the obelisk on Place de la Concorde as it was bathed in Tiffany Blue to mark the occasion. The evening ended with an energetic performance by British indie singer-song writer VV Brown.
Tiffany’s brilliant new store reflects the company’s global reputation as a luxury brand and a 177-year history that includes Paris, where Tiffany first opened a store in 1868. The new store is Tiffany’s fourth location in Paris and fifth in France.
