European footwear and accessories retailer Carlo Pazolini is proud to announce the appointment of British designer Lee Wood as Creative Director. Wood hails from the Versace maison where he built his career over the last 15 years on the creative team of Donatella Versace. His premier collection of shoes, handbags and accessories for Carlo Pazolini will launch for Spring/Summer 2015.
A graduate of the Berkshire College of Art & Design, Lee Wood began his path to success in London as a design assistant and fashion stylist. For over a decade now he has lived and worked in Milan where he held a variety of creative posts at Gianni Versace S.p.A. In 2013 Wood founded his own Milan-based design studio, StudioL72, and joined the Carlo Pazolini team earlier this year.
“I face a big task – making the brand recognizable for European and American markets. It goes without saying that I find such a challenge very exciting,” said Lee Wood.
Drawn from a love of travel and an appreciation for the finer things in life, Carlo Pazolini embodies a passion for modern European style expressed through sophisticated design. With over 250 brick-and-mortar locations worldwide, Carlo Pazolini encompasses all the best of Italian tradition combined with high-quality materials creating a distinctive, unique and clearly identifiable style since its inception in 1990.
“Lee Wood’s innovative ideas fully reflect our vision for developing Carlo Pazolini. His broad experience and talent will, no doubt, open up new opportunities for the brand,” said Arkady Reznik, CBO at Carlo Pazolini.
