Considered the birthplace of haute couture, the event mixes collections from Italy’s historic fashion powerhouses such as Valentino and Fendi with the debut shows of the hottest new breed of Italian designers and their ‘neocouture’ approach. There is a strong focus on discovering new talent with a ‘Who’s On Next?’ competition in collaboration with Vogue Italia to find the next big name in fashion. Fashion photography exhibitions, talks and performances make this week-long extravaganza one of the chicest events in the city’s calendar.
