Richard Burton, Brigitte Bardot, Sophia Loren and, more recently, Jennifer Lopez have all been spotted sunning themselves on Ferretti decks. And it has racing pedigree, too, winning 1994’s Class 1 Offshore World Championship.
Two decades on, Italian yacht builder Ferretti is still top of the heap. Its latest offering, the Ferretti 750, took center stage at this year’s Dusseldorf International Boat Show. Spanning 22 meters, with a beam of 5.7 meters, the 750 is characterised by sporty, but elegant lines.
An optional set-up pushes the top speed up to 32.5 knots (standard 30) and the sundeck comes in two options, with a roll-bar and Bimini top or a hard-top and awning. Another key feature is a long, electronically-operated swimming platform that can be lowered half a meter below the surface.
But what also sets Ferretti, arguably one of the world’s finest yacht makers, apart is its anti-rolling gyro technology, which reduces the effects of waves. All this adds up to a slick exterior, plus a super smooth ride.
