When released last year, the Lagonda Taraf from Aston Martin marked the revival of the historic Lagonda marque and the return of the Lagonda badge that hasn’t graced a car since 1990. It has now been confirmed that the latest model will be priced at £696,000.
Originally destined exclusively for the Middle East, the luxury saloon will now be available in continental Europe and other global markets including South Africa and Singapore. Exclusive to just 200 units, each model is being individual crafted, and while the near £700,000 figure puts the Lagonda Taraf well ahead of other super luxury saloons such as the Rolls Royce Phantom and Bentley Mulsanne, the customizable features from Aston Martin’s bespoke division can easily add another £100,000 to the price tag.
The Lagonda Taraf bodied from carbonfiber comes in an exclusive Topaz Gold further adding to the rarity of the car, while the interior boasts hand stitched beige Luxmill leather with a pearlescent top coat while the Fascia and door trim are finished in a Tamo Ash Bamboo. The rear seats offer superior legroom equivalent to that of a limousine and are fitted with iPads and a mini fridge, ensuring passengers will always be entertained and well fed while the chauffer takes care of the driving.
Powered by a 550bhp 5.9-litre, the Lagonda is capable of 0-60 in 4.4 seconds with a top speed of around 200mph.
