Cult shoe brand Bionda Castana have opened their first store in London.
Founded by Natalia Barbieri and Jennifer Portman in 2007, the brand has been sported by celebrities including Keira Knightley, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Eva Mendes and boasts an impressive following.
The flagship store is nestled in the heart of Belgravia on Elizabeth Street, a location known for its exclusive boutiques and up market eateries. The designers told The Telegraph: “It was a natural decision to open here. The area has a boutiquey feel, it’s not dominated by big brands and we’re perfectly positioned for our customers, being close to Sloane Square and Knightsbridge.”
The fast-growing brand places a strong emphasis on classic designs using the finest fabrics. Using exceptional craftsmanship, the shoes represent youthfulness, functionality and style, and boast distinctive features such as the functional mid heel, single-sole pumps and sheer panels. Using materials such as exotic skins, velvets and suede, the iconc Lana shoe has gone on to become a best-seller and is a modern take on the court shoe.
The store will act as a base for the popular Custom Made Service, where clients will be able to select their favorite patterns, fabrics and hues to develop shoes to be hand made in Milan and delivered within four weeks. With each shoe designed in London and hand made in Italy, clients can expect a perfect blend of London modernity and luxury Italian craftsmanship.
