Shopping in New York’s Soho neighborhood just got a little more exotic. Luxury jeweler John Hardy has brought its Balinese flair to Prince Street with its debut US flagship and Artisan in Residence Workshop.
John Hardy’s new Soho boutique strives to offer a complete sensory experience inspired by the brand’s workshop in Ubud, Bali. Guests can enjoy a Balinese welcome tea along with cold and hot towel service. The flagship features one-of-a-kind pieces from the John Hardy Cinta precious jewelry collection as well as exclusive items from the brand’s Chain, Legends, Bamboo and Dot collections.
On the second floor, the boutique hosts its Artisan in Residence Workshop where master artisans from Bali create handcrafted jewelry using an eight-step design process. The workshop also serves as a space for installations, exhibits, talks and master classes.
For an immersive experience, three of the brand’s artisans are currently onsite through December 23 to showcase the John Hardy jewelry making technique and offer complimentary hand engraving on certain items. Jewelry is created first as watercolor then hand-sculpted into wax carvings before being chain woven into an authentic John Hardy piece.
John Hardy Soho is located at 118 Prince Street, New York, NY 10012. The store is open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 6pm and Sunday from 12pm to 5pm. For more information, please visit johnhardy.com or call +1 212 343 9000.
