It’s no secret that elite travelers are often looking for extra space.
Demand for suites in hotels has been increasing despite the recessionary overtones in the U.S. and Europe. In Budapest, the Corinthia has a particularly wide offering.
According to General Manager Thomas M. Fischer, his hotel offers 31 suites, including one Presidential Suite and two 1,500-square-foot Signature Suites. Additionally there are 27 Royal Residences now available on a short-term basis. Each is a full service one, two or three bedroom apartment with luxury hotel finishes and full kitchens, designed for long-term stays but now becoming popular for weekends.
The hotel is popular with actors as Hungary has a booming movie business, and famed French-turned-Russian actor Gerard Depardieu is among Corinthia Budapest’s fans.
Upcoming events that Fischer says are worth a weekend private jet flight include March 26th Restaurant Week, Easter in Budapest, the annual Titanic International Film Festival held every year, starting April 7th, divisional playoffs for the World Ice Hockey Championships beginning April 14th and of course the Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix July 28th.
