Known for its deep hue and exclusivity, rubies are often recognized as a luxurious statement symbol, a representation of distinctiveness and rarity. It is this very stone that is being championed by Gemfields through the launch of their latest short film, starring brand ambassador Mila Kunis and directed by renowned photographer Jeff Burton.
World famous actress Kunis was announced as the brand ambassador of Gemfields in 2013 and embodies all that Gemfields means today.
To celebrate the launch of responsibly sourced Mozambican rubies from the Cabo Delgado province, the short film explores the allure and mystery of one of the most precious gemstones in the world, a stone that has been associated with desire since it was first dug from the earth’s crust thousands of years ago.
Mila Kunis, Gemfields’ global brand ambassador, said: “Working on this film with Gemfields and Jeff Burton was an amazing experience. I was given the opportunity to try and capture the allure and passion that rubies evoke in an unexpected way. I believe it will help to inspire a whole new generation to fall in love with this rarest of gemstones.”
Kunis can be seen adorned in the July gemstone in the clip wearing bespoke pieces of jewelry created by five worldwide jewelers, namely Fabrege, Georg Jensen, Spinelli Kilcollin, Gyan by Gem Plaza and Miiori.
