Porsche has unveiled its latest cars at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Sports car maker Porsche has unveiled its new Macan compact SUV at the Los Angeles Auto Show. It is the fifth model line for the manufacturer. The new 911 Turbo Cabriolet, 911 Turbo S Cabriolet, the Panamera Turbo S and Panamera Turbo S Executive, and the 918 Spyder also took a bow.
MACAN
The SUV sports car comes in two models. The Macan S has a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine with 340 hp. It goes from zero to 60mph in just five seconds. The Macan Turbo takes things further with a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 engine producing 400 hp. It travels from zero to 60mph in 4.4 seconds.
They will arrive at US dealerships in late spring 2014. The Macan S costs $49,900 while the Macan Turbo is a higher $72,300.
911
Porsche also launched the twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter 911 Turbo Cabriolet and the 911 Turbo S Cabriolet, which has a top speed of 195mph. The 911 Turbo Cabriolet costs $160,700 while the S is priced at $193,900. They will be available in early 2014.
Panamera
The Panamera Turbo S and Panamera Turbo S Executive are on display at the LA Auto Show following their world debut at the Tokyo Motor Show. They both have a 4.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that boasts 570 hp at 6000rpm. Top speed is 192mph for both cars. The Panamera Turbo S and Turbo S Executive models are priced at $180,300 and $200,500 respectively and arrive in early 2014 as well.
918 SPYDER
Porsche’s plug-in hybrid 918 Spyder has also made its debut in North America. It sprints from zero to 60mph in less than 2.8 seconds, combing the 887 hp of a super sports car with the virtually silent propulsion of an electric vehicle. First deliveries will take place in Q1 2014.
