Following the recent announcement of the relaunch of Elite Traveler, the market-leading private jet luxury lifestyle magazine is announcing today the appointment of Norman M. Miller as Executive Vice President/Publisher.
As part of this new era for Elite Traveler, a number of key changes have taken place within the structure of the business. These changes have been planned since last fall.
Doug Gollan and Daniel Wade, the founders of Elite Traveler have decided to leave the company and will be transitioning their responsibilities to Norman Miller. Under their leadership Elite Traveler has established itself as the first and only BPA-audited magazine in the private jet travel market, and has won numerous awards for quality, excellence and innovation.
Andy Hunt, Chairman of Elite Traveler said: “Doug Gollan and Daniel Wade led the team that built Elite Traveler over 14 years into a worldwide media brand and proved the concept a commercially viable proposition at a time when the print media business has gone through dramatic change and turmoil.
“I would like to personally thank them for what they have achieved and as continued shareholders in Elite Traveler I look forward to their ongoing counsel and support of the publication and wish them every success in the future. I am also delighted that we have secured such a talented and experienced leader from the luxury media industry in Norman Miller at a time when Elite Traveler enters such an exciting new chapter in its history.”
Norman Miller joins Elite Traveler with more than 30 years of experience in the Luxury Publishing market. Most recently Miller was the Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Niche Media, where he was instrumental in developing watch and jewelry business as well as other key luxury brand relationships.
His jewelry industry affiliation dates back to 1980 when he began his career as an editorial intern at National Jeweler Magazine. Making the switch to advertising sales for National Jeweler in 1985, Miller remains active in the jewelry and watch industries and has most recently been appointed as Chairman of the 2015 Gem Awards.
Miller has held positions at Vogue, GQ, W, Gourmet, The New Yorker, Playbill, Marie Claire, Martha Stewart Living and at Hearst Integrated Media where he developed multi-publication deals across all media channels. He will work closely with Elite Traveler’s Associate Publishers, Greg Licciardi and Lorraine Chu and the rest of the team in taking Elite Traveler on the next stage of its journey.
“I couldn’t be more excited about joining this well-established brand,” Miller said. “I look forward to working with the entire team and continuing to work with luxury marketers as our ever-changing marketplace continues to evolve.”
