On the eve of the New York City Auto Show, Cadillac unveiled an all-new version of the growling CTS sport sedan.
In previous iterations, this terrific car was something of an outlier–a bold, aggressive show pony. Recast with a compelling, but more sedate exterior and a 3.6-liter 420hp twin-turbo V6 (with a slick 8-speed tranny), the CTS became a likely and appropriate competitor to the BMW 5 Series and other mid-size luxury cars.
Land Rover held a star-studded (Daniel Craig, Jade Jagger were spotted) soiree to fete the debut of the new Range Rover Sport. With a larger, more luxurious cabin size, supercharged V8 power plant (that can provide a 0 to 60 mph push in less that 5 seconds) and weighing in at 800 pounds less than the previous version, the emphasis is clearly on the “sport” side of the equation here.
