By Chris Boyle

Pierre GagnaireChef Pierre Gagnaire picks out his favourite places to visit in Paris in an interview with ALTO magazine.

French chef Pierre Gagnaire has restaurants around the world in cities such as Dubai, Berlin, Tokyo and London. But the original Pierre Gagnaire restaurant in Paris remains the most successful. It came 17th in our recent Elite 100 Restaurants ranking.

Gagnaire spoke to luxury design and lifestyle magazine ALTO and picked out his favorite bars, cafés and restaurants to visit in Paris. He recommended places such as L’Astrance and La Tour d’Argent for its view and setting. Andy Wahloo was his favourite bar while Galerie Lelong and the Louvre were his cultural highlights.

He says: “I like to go to L’Astrance for the intelligence of the food; to La Tour d’Argent for the view; to Kifuné, a Japanese restaurant, and to Stella, a brasserie open until late and where I go after watching football matches at the Stade de France.”

You can read the full article with all of Pierre Gagnaire’s suggestions on ALTO.
