Every month, Precious Posts is proud to bring you a world renowned jewelry designer. For the month of February, we met Philippe Poix, International Executive Director at AUTORE. AUTORE distributes South Sea pearls to some of the world’s most prestigious jewelry houses.
What have been some challenges you have had to overcome in the past?
The pearl cultivation is totally dependent on the climate and its cycle and so we had to face some years with a smaller production than usual. We can’t control nature and some south sea pearl sizes are really rare. There is a high demand to buy more and more this unique natural gem.
What upcoming project are you most excited about?
AUTORE is proud to give the world a very unique quality of South Sea pearls and we are constantly improving the way we cultivate them. The luster of each pearl is everything for AUTORE and our collection reflects the flexibility and the femininity of our creations.
Do you see any upcoming trends you are excited about?

We are excited about colors this season. We are focusing on simplicity and getting back to nature.
What materials and techniques do you prefer?
It is “All about the South Sea Pearls” and they are all unique. We use the most refined and sophisticated designs to adorn the pearl.

How do you define luxury?
Wearing a “gift from nature”, a pearl that nobody can have and have, is luxury. Quality, sensuality and elegance are all AUTORE values.
How do you approach a new collection? Where do your ideas evolve from?
For Rosario AUTORE, nature is his inspiration. He is inspired by his travels abroad to places like Venice or walks in the forest with his wife Jane. He is always about opening his eyes to the world. Australia is an amazing continent with such variety.
What do you do in your free time?
If I am not spending time with my family, I take care of the pearl cultivation in the AUTORE Farm in Western Australia and Indonesia.
