The new expanded and revamped men’s designer wear department in Selfridges will welcome the UK’s first personal shopping service exclusively for men.
This unique concept will be laid out over 120 square meters in the Oxford Street store, comprising of three elegant suites, a reception area and a salon space complete with a floor-to-ceiling library. Designed by architect Alex Cochrane, the suite has the look and feel of a couture yet welcoming New York style loft in the heart of London’s West End. The new space also features artwork from artist Damien Hirst.
Customers will find dedicated Personal Shoppers on hand to provide a five-star experience. The vast amount of British and international menswear collections makes this the most comprehensive menswear selection available in any department store anywhere in the world, with a huge range of formalwear, designer wear, contemporary fashion, shoes and accessories.
Above all Selfridges’ Men’s Personal Shopping is a fashion-focused offer, however it also enables customers to purchase goods, gifts, fine jewelry and watches, grooming products and more from all six floors of the London store.
This exclusive service is lead by Joe Ottoway, leading London men’s stylist who joined Selfridges in 2011 as the store’s first dedicated menswear specialist, who has seen a growing demand from male customers within the store’s original Personal Shopping suite. In the past year alone bookings for consultations with male clients increased by 30%, proving the need for a personal shopping service exclusively for men.
Joe said: “Our menswear business has expanded at a rate which we could never have predicted a few years ago. There’s a strong appetite amongst our male clients to experience a service that informs everything we do.
“Something we take huge pride in is our honest and unaffected approach to style advice. The beauty of implementing such a unique proposition in a store like Selfridges is the flexibility afforded by the breadth of offer – we work with guys looking for the latest pieces from A.P.C and Moschino, through to men looking for a bespoke Tom Ford suit.”
